November Guest Artist: Viviana Hinojosa
Viviana studied Hispanic Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM).
Although the books are one of her favorite activities, painting is her passion and what she dedicates her time and effort.
Her acquaintance to plastic arts is mainly self-taught, although she studied classic design at the Tarrega Academy in Barcelona, Spain.
Her path through painting has been happy and not so short, experiment, trial and error.
Viviana prefers figurative painting as the medium of expression (and knowledge), this is where she feels more comfortable, as well as where she began to understand the shape and color interaction, and at this point is were she wanted to create "narrative" painting (professional deformation), pictures that can tell a story, having an imaginary “before” and “after”, imagined by spectator of the work. 
For Viviana, painting is knowledge, creation, discipline, an inner journey ... is a happy place.
Her favorite topics are related to children and their happy places, their nightmares, their endless production of images and the animism that characterizes it, but above all, painting to her is an act of freedom.
Her work will be available at the café during the month of November for sale and display.
Mon thru Fri from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm and Sat from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
